December

2nd – Friday:  Projected Opening Day    ( Delayed )

Season Hours 9:00 to 4:00 daily

3rd &  4th – Saturday & Sunday:  Super Tour

Saturday: 10:00 AM, sprint prologue, skate.  12:00 PM, 5/10k women/men, skate.  Sunday: 1:00 PM, 15/20k women/men, classic mass start.  www.bsfnordic for more information

10th – Saturday:  Bobcat Christmas Pole 

Kick off the ski season with your participation in this low key ski fundraiser event for the MSU Nordic Ski Team.  1k & 3k classic or skate races begin at 10:30.  5k and 10k skate races begin at 11:00 AM. January

8th – Sunday:  Montana Import Group/Subaru of Bozeman

Bohart Ranch offers the community an opportunity to give Nordic skiing a try!  FREE lessons, rentals and trail privileges at 10:00 AM or 1:30 PM.  Skate and classic, kids and adults, beginners and intermediate welcomed.  Reservations for lessons required Call Bohart, 586-9070 beginning Jan 2nd.  Limited registration fills quickly!

21st – Saturday:  Sacagawea Ski Classic

Features 15k, 5k, and 1k children’s races and 15k casual classic tour through the beautiful Bridger Mountains.  Races begin at 10:00 AM. Discount for early registration. No race day registration.  Applications and detailed information at www.bridgerskifoundation.org  Info call 587-2445.

28th – Montana Senior Olympics

Senior Olympics welcomes skiers of all abilities 45 years and older to participate.  Classic 5k &10k races begin at 10:00 AM.  Skate 5k & 10k races begin at 1:00 PM.  Medals awarded in five year age brackets (45-49, 50-54,etc.)  Info call 406-586-5543 or email kayjn@imt.net.

February

5th – Sunday:  Big Sky Wind Drinkers Ski Day

The public is invited to join members of BSWD at 11:00 AM at the Ski Shop for a recreational ski of Bohart trails.  Meet at the Trail Shelter in the meadow at 1:00 PM for hot chocolate and treats compliments of the Wind Drinkers.  Bohart Season Pass or Trail Fee required.  RSVP by Feb 1st to Kurt Buchl at 570-4167.

12th – Sunday: Bohart Bonus Day

Ski Bohart at reduced prices!  ADULTS: $8 Trail Fee, $8 classic ski rental.  CHILDREN: $5 Trail Fee for ages  7 – 12.  Ages 6 and under free.  $5 classic ski rental.  Put your name in a drawing for a FREE 2013 Season Pass.  Warm up at the Trail Shelter.  Bring your picnic lunch for a fun day with family and friends!

18th &  19th – Sat & Sun:  Western States Youth Ski Festival

24th &  25th – Friday & Saturday: NCAA Regional Races

1st – Sunday:  Dog Day AfterNoon
Last day of the 2012 Ski Season!  All skiers, Season Pass Holders and Day Skiers are invited to bring your canine friends to ski with you from noon to closing.
